The name Bella Threads was inspired by my daughters name, Isabella. I came up with the idea to make aprons when I made them for family and friends for Christmas presents one year. This was when I discovered my obsession for fabric and my love for sewing.
I try my best to source unique cotton fabric. I use 'upcycled' and vintage fabrics only when they are in very good condition. Everything I make are my own patterns. My hope is that you will appreciate the time, effort and love that goes into my products. I am a one lady business, which wouldn't be possible if it were not for the support of family and friends.
I have lived in New Zealand for 5 years. I live in Nelson with my husband, daughter and ever expanding menagerie. I am originally from Oregon which I miss and love but I am getting used to the idea of having two homes.
